OVERALL PERSONALITY[/b]
Bubbly and playful, Yuuko is a girl that’s easy to get to know. She loves people and isn’t afraid to stand out amongst them, even though she’s as small as she is, a big personality is pumped into such a tiny package. She knows the ins and outs of general society, and isn’t afraid to go for what she wants. She wants to know everyone and know what’s going on around her in the world of high school, and is often very close to the drama that takes place in it. If she didn’t cause the drama, she was likely there when it all started.
Yuuko appears to be a very sweet girl at first, but once you get to know her it can be discovered that she’s really not all she makes herself out to be. A lot of people already know this about Yuuko, but at the same time others don’t, so it’s not easy to guess what she’s really like. But deep down inside, Yuuko only means well, even when she’s stepping on someone’s toes to get what she wants. She’s just been taught her entire life that going for the gold is the most important thing. But friends are very important to Yuuko, too, and she’s trusting enough to believe that everyone may be as loyal as she is.
Competition is a big part of Yuuko’s life. She wants to be the best, have the best, and know the best. But she’ll make sure that her friends always get some of the glory, too. But they can’t be better than her. Yuuko is afraid of failure, and will refuse to stand it, whether that means kicking her dignity to the door and having a hissy fit or not.
To Yuuko, school is not for learning, but for discovery. It’s in school that she learns about people and how they work, and what makes them tick and what she can do to make them give her whatever she may want. And Yuuko also belives herself to be the cutest girl on campus, maybe not the hottest, but definitely the cutest. So while she may not be such a bad person, she’s certainly arrogant.
OVERALL APPEARANCE[/b] Yuuko is a little nymph of a girl, standing at only 4’9” and weighing in at only 94 pounds. She has a lean, slim frame, with a tiny waist and curvy hips. Yuuko often uses clothing to her advantage, finding that bright colors and cute skirts make her stand out and appear a little more darling than she actually is. A fan of summer clothes and colors, Yuuko sometimes dress inappropriately for the school environment. But at times, she can be seen in traditional Japanese clothing, consisting of beautiful kimonos and ukatas. She just loves the material and colors that make them up, and she has no problem standing out in school. In fact… she loves it!
Yuuko has what some may call a baby face. She is very much into the cutesy look she’s known for, and will often be caught smiling for no reason at all. Her smile is a tiny one, but genuine. She has slightly chubby cheeks and a heart-shaped face with a rounded chin and jaw line. Yuuko’s hair and eyes are two of her best features. She has kept her hair long and natural, making her head of hair voluminous and shiny due to excellent care. Her eyes, with their traditional Japanese shape, stare out from just underneath her cut bangs.
She walks with an easy, steady gait, her head held high – as if she owns the world and has the power to control it. Confident strides and casual hair flips make this small girl bigger than she appears to be.
HISTORY[/b]
Watanabe Yuuko was born by natural birth in a bathtub in her family’s old home in Chiba. She never cried once when she was born, and remained to be a relatively quiet child while she was growing up. Once she was a toddler, though, she was entered into ballet class and was put into child beauty pageants. She won over the crowd with her cutesy face and ballet basics, earning herself prizes along the way and making her mother proud.
But as she aged, soon she was too old to enter the beauty pageants that were making her famous. Soon she dropped out of sight and spent her time doing ballet and lyrical dance classes. Dance became her way of life, and what she hoped would become her new doorway to becoming famous. Unfortunately for her, though, her parents had decided they wanted to move to the United States and live in a bigger city, rather than living just outside Tokyo in a quiet area. Moving away from Japan and into the United States was her dad’s dream, and they finally had the money to make that dream come true. Yuuko was pulled out of her dance classes and swiftly put into high-end studios for new training. It was in New York that she landed her first leading role in a ballet. It went off quite well, despite the fact that Yuuko was still getting used to the regular use of English in her life.
As high school approached, Yuuko was getting tired of all the fancy schools she was attending. She was tired of her private school, and was becoming homesick more and more. Eventually she talked her parents into letting her attend a public school in New York City. That way, she could be closer to home. She kept her dance classes, though, hoping that as she became more skilled she’d become famous. It was New York, after all. She was taught that New York was the place that dreams were made of. Soon she entered her first year at Eastside High, and now all she had to do was work the dance club. Maybe she’d be discovered.
But as she got older, Yuuko wanted to live elsewhere... away from family and away from what she had done - she had slept with a judge during a dance competition in order to win, and she felt dirty. So she applied for a college in Toronto, and now, here she is.[/ul]
`WHEN HES INSIDE YOU KNOW THERES NO ROOM FOR ME!
[/font]Ruki Okamura was working his way around the asylum, looking for something to occupy his time. He was bored, as he usually happened to be as of late. At that current time, there were no doctors poking and prodding at him, no experiments. He felt lucky that he wasn’t being used as a lab rat at the moment.
But suddenly, as Ruki made his way around the laboratories… a place he wasn’t sure he was allowed to be, Ruki heard screams coming from the room adjacent to him. Curiosity got the best of him, and he neared the room. He placed his ear against the metal door and the sound became louder. He didn’t know what was going on, but he was going to find out. He hated this place. Hated how they were treated. They were all different… special, even, but all treated the same. As freak experiments destined to who knew what. Ruki believed he was lucky he was even still alive. He’d been given injections at some points, too. Injections that made him feel sick to his stomach or temporarily lose his vision or even make him feel like dying was the only answer to the pain they had inflicted upon him. Maybe enough was enough.
Ruki approached one of the walls around the room, looking for a good place to look inside. As soon as he found a wall around the corner, he took his hands and drew an outline of a rectangle on the wall. He then swept his hand over the area he had outlined, and felt the smooth paint on the wall. As he touched the wall his hands vibrated with energy, snapping and crackling as if they controlled electricity. But it was the really the sound of the molecules shifting and changing to fit his needs. Soon, the wall was swept away in the same motion his hands had gone in, and in the wall’s place there was now a little window. Ruki covered over his eyes for a moment, and peeked into the room. There he saw a girl, her mouth open in the shape of a scream, appearing to be attacked by some older man. Well, that didn’t look right to Ruki and he wasn’t going to accept it. He was going to do something about the situation.
But what could he do? She was grabbing at the door, trying to pull it open, and then he realized the obvious thing he could do. Morph the door into something else. Let her out of the room of her pain. Let her get out. They could deal with him in anyway they wanted, but he wasn’t going to let the girl be hurt anymore.
Walking over to the wall, Ruki glanced around, making sure no one would see him or find him before he was done what he had valiantly planned to do. Anger rose up into his throat, making him glare at the door like it was his greatest enemy. How dare they treat them like this!
Yes, Ruki knew about Hope. He knew who the girl was. Who didn’t? Hope was special… even for the others in the asylum. She possessed powers that he couldn’t even fathom, and she had it hard because of it. She was constantly being tested upon, parts of her own body even being used to experiment upon the others in the asylum. They were trying to create better patients - deadlier patients; patients that would often die during the experiments. Yes, Hope was very special. And in some ways he was jealous of her. Maybe, if he became that special, too, his parents would take him away from all of this. If they even knew where he was. He knew, deep down, that they would probably never come. But hope was all he had at that moment.
Ruki’s hands began to vibrate with violent energy. He was ready to morph the door. And this time, he ran at the door and slammed his hands flat against the cold metal of the door, feeling the changes to the molecules already taking place. Quicker than before, a change was becoming noticeable. And finally, the door was nothing but a big sheet of blank, white paper. Now, he believed, she could get out. She could tear through it and run away. He didn’t know how long the changes would last… it was always unpredictable with him… but he hoped she had enough time to get out.
But then Ruki hesitated for a moment. What if that man wouldn’t let her out? Ruki bit his lower lip in thought, wondering if he should burst through and help her. But what would happen to him if he did? He wasn’t being cowardly, only wary. He didn’t have to ask if it would be worth it to help her… he knew it would be worth it to help anyone, but still… something nagged at him. Telling him to leave it alone; that’d he’d done enough. But had he?
